Family School Compact
The Parent-School Compact is an agreement that has been developed jointly with parents, community stakeholders, and school faculty and students to provide a learning environment in which all children can develop to their academic potential. The signed compact will be kept on file at the school.
As a Charlotte Park Parent/ Guardian, I will
- Bring my child to school every day. Attendance is important! Communicate and attend parent conferences with my child's teacher. Read every night with my child or have my child read to me.
- Help with homework and make sure it's completed on time. Support the school-wide behavior system, P.A.W.S.
- Communicate with school staff when needed and attend school events if possible. Communicate with my child about his/her school activities and lessons every day. Keep address, phone number or health issues updated with the office.
- Partner with my child's teacher to ensure my child's academic, social and emotional growth.
As a Charlotte Park student, I will
- Follow P.A.W.S (Positive Attitude, Act Responsibly, Work Hard, Show Respect). Be a good citizen and support the common good.
- Discuss my learning with my parents/guardian. Be present and prepared for all classes.
- Do my best in my class.
- Complete my classwork and homework on time. Take pride in my school.
- Read independently every night

Strive to meet the different academic and social/emotional needs of each student. Come to school prepared to teach.

Provide a high-quality curriculum and instruction to all students.
- Teach students about being a responsible citizen and supporting the common good of the community.
- Provide homework to reinforce the skills that have been taught at school. Follow the policies set forth by Metro Nashville Public Schools.
- Communicate with parents about opportunities for volunteering and family involvement.
- Work together with ALL stakeholders to support the growth of every child.
- Offer parent-teacher conferences throughout the year to discuss student growth and achievement.
